3. Utilize the “Where’s My Refund?” Tool

Once you’re on the IRS website, locate and click on the “Refunds” tab. From there, select “Check My Refund Status” or “Where’s My Refund?” This will direct you to the tool where you’ll need to input your SSN, filing status, and the exact refund amount.

4. Check the Status

After providing the necessary information, click on the “Submit” or “Check Status” button. The system will then process your request and display the current status of your tax refund. It may take a few seconds for the information to load, so be patient.
